Why Asian Parli judges use DebateClock

Asian Parliamentary rounds move quickly — six 7-minute constructives with POI windows, followed by two reply speeches. Keeping track of the POI window boundary while flowing and managing the room is one extra thing a judge has to hold in their head.

DebateClock shows a visible amber POI cue on the debater's screen. It appears automatically at 1:00 and disappears at 6:00. Both the judge and the speaker can see at a glance whether POIs can be offered — without either of them checking a watch.

Automatic POI cue

Amber "POI Window" badge appears at 1:00, clears at 6:00. Visible on the debater display facing the room.

8 speeches preloaded

6 constructives at 7 minutes, 2 reply speeches at 4 minutes. Select the format and start.

Correct reply order

Opposition Reply comes before Government Reply — exactly as in Asian Parli conventions.

Two-device sync

Judge controls from a phone. Debater watches a full-screen countdown on a tablet or laptop.
